Every building needs one of these!!
About 3000 people commit suicide every day. For every person who commits suicide, another 20 attempt suicide. You don’t have to be one of them.
Suicide is scary to think about. Chances are you know someone who’s thought about suicide or someone who’s died by suicide. Maybe you’ve even thought about it yourself. But no matter what your experience is, you don’t have to be a victim.
If you need help, The Trevor Project’s lifeline has someone you can talk to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call them at 866-488-7386. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is also available for you at 1-800-273-8255.
If you don’t feel that it’s urgent but you’d still like to talk to someone, you can call either of these resources or talk to someone close to you, like a friend or family member. If you ever need to talk, I’m here too.
I have felt suicidal before - many, many times. There are ways to work past it. I promise. Today is a day to remember that you can help prevent suicide by being a voice of support and an advocate for your loved ones and for yourself.
What does today mean to you?
